Building a PC - Made easy.

As a recent graduate, i.e. barely a human being yet, I have little to no operating free cash flow to divulge into a new PC. It hasn't stopped me from researching, however. I've spent countless hours choosing my components and looking through reviews to understand what the best system for my price range would be - my girlfriend could tell you all about it.

The task may be daunting, but well worth it once finalized. You can save money, optimize components, and just get a better understanding of what's going on in that whirring box you're currently using...

Lifehacker has posted a very interesting guide to getting started on realizing your dream rig. It's one of the best overviews I've come across and thought I would share. They outline hardware basics, shopping for parts, actually constructing the thing, installing your OS (Yes - it outlines a Hackintosh build), and some resources to make sure your PC is running optimally.

I will be typing up my own guide in time and as the blog grows, but I suggest giving that link a read! It will be slightly more technical and I will discuss actual components and different types of rigs (like HTPCs).

Stay tuned!
