Windows 8 file management upgrade.

You know when you're transferring that file and Windows always starts by saying "23 hours estimated time" even though it's a single word document...then you realize the time the computer wastes calculating that erroneous value took longer than what the processor would have taken to transfer the file in the first place?

This is embarrassing.

Google delivers 97% of mobile searches.

Keep telling yourself Google isn't taking over the world.

How Apple put the stranglehold on the mobile device market.

Why is it that Apple has been able to dominate with the release of new iPhones and iPads over the past 5 years or so...

Are their products that much more superior?

WTF!? Of the Day.

Hamburger University.

Students love technology.

It's no surprise to find out the younger generation, on the cusp of learning, stays up to date with recent technology updates (hence why I probably get so many people from Facebook checking out my blog).

Digitizing your entire movie collection.

Defcon opens the floodgates to...children?

Is there really an "ethical" hacking? An even better question - can children under the age of 16 really understand the difference? Hacking, unknown to many, can cause severe damage and millions of dollars of revenue lost for conglomerates around the world as the internet has no boundaries. Don't believe me - Google "Mafia Boy".

Hacking Medical Devices.

Insulin pumps, pacemakers, defibrillators...the list goes on. A new study shows how hacktivists can do much more than take down a Sony website.

Lawlz of the Day.

5 things I can't believe websites are still doing.

This has to be read in it's entirety.

Google Realtime Search Revival!

When large global events happen - the internetz is great for spreading the news quickly. Sometimes I'll read a headline on Facebook before I see an actual credible news source report. Google Realtime Search is a valuable way to capture status updates and tweets and allow social networking to do the legwork when releasing new and exciting information. Until recently, google had abandoned the feature - it's now back.

TGIF Dealzzz.

If you're looking for that brand new laptop this weekend or some good hardware to upgrade your rig, these Friday deals are sure to make your weekend hurt your wallet slightly less.

Building a PC - Made easy.

As a recent graduate, i.e. barely a human being yet, I have little to no operating free cash flow to divulge into a new PC. It hasn't stopped me from researching, however. I've spent countless hours choosing my components and looking through reviews to understand what the best system for my price range would be - my girlfriend could tell you all about it.

The Lambo of TVs is back...

You better believe there isn't a price tag in existence that will keep hardcore techs away from these beauties.

Those who own the discontinued plasma Kuro model TVs almost regard their home theater as collectibles over entertainment units. The blackest blacks, the whitest whites, and the clearest picture you would ever see is far from an over-exaggeration with this technology.

Dental hygiene vs. iPhone.

An alarming amount of iPhone users have stated they would rather give up brushing their teeth than not have their device as reported by The Unofficial Apple Weblog. Does that reflect on the success of the device or does it say something more about Apple fanboys (something not so nice).

iPhone wireless charging patent filed.

Sure, it would be great to not have to plug in an iPhone when charging. I know of tons of gadgets involving specialized cases with inductive charging pads. But what is this new patent filed by Apple? And will it hurt me?

Fastest growing website ever?

It took Facebook 3 years to do it and Twitter about 30 months. Google+ has hit 25 million users in record breaking fashion.

Facebook to get a dislike button?

Here we go again,

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Facebook is looking to update the way the news feed is displayed. Facebook has a nasty habit of fixing what's not broke and frustrating already loyal users.

Layout Updates!

Internetz,

The layout will be changing quite a bit over the next little while and I will certainly accept all criticisms and comments.

Thanks to all for reading and be sure to subscribe and share and work in those brand new links.

Can you really delete public information?

Ever tried to delete that twitter account or cancel that facebook profile because you're spending all day at work or in class looking up people you haven't seen since the 6th grade? Most people believe it's pretty easy and that once you throw that information you've shared into the hypothetical cyber recycling bin. (Why is all data recyclable? I may consider some 0s and 1s out there to be trash. I'll e-mail Microsoft this afternoon about changing the name "recycling bin".) You may want to think twice about public sharing as it is about infinitely easier to share than it is to "unshare".

Deleted social networking pages doesn't necessarily mean they're gone. Discovery News posted an interesting article tackling online privacy laws. Remember that site "Friendster" - the one which inspired Mark Zuckerberg to create Facebook? Yeah it sucks to be them. However, in this day and age having a following or group of users might as well be cash in your pocket. All those who "deleted" their Friendster account were treated to a exclusive VIP tour into a new rebranded entertainment-oriented site complements of the failed social network group. Friendster simply rolled over that information from previous users of the site using contact info like an e-mail account to send out invites. And yes - it's legal. It's called recyclable data and many social websites claim the information as their own every time you hit that post or tweet button.

Why can't people just get trashed?

Lolz of the Day.

The only caption missing is the Engineer: "Every night when I go to sleep there's a certainty I WILL fix a problem when I wake up."

Nintendo 3DS Price Drop.

Those of you thinking of buying that glass-less, shiny new Nintendo 3DS may want to wait. Nintendo has announced they will be dropping the price to about $US 169.99. (A $US 80 price drop off).

While this may be good for children and nostalgic grown men around the world, unless sales start to pick up, we may see handheld devices from Nintendo drop off the market. New tablet devices and smartphones have become the premier gaming platform on the go.

A revolutionary 3D gaming experience was not enough to push people toward single purpose gaming gadgets like the 3DS.

As a side note, those of you who have already purchased a 3DS. Nintendo is offering a plethora (about 20) free game downloads from their e-store.

And for anyone still on the fence about the ~$US 170 price tag - consider this statement mentioned in thr announcement.

Building on the popularity of The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time™ 3D, which launched June 19, the upcoming game calendar for Nintendo 3DS is a Who's Who of iconic video game franchises. Star Fox 64™ 3D arrives on Sept. 9, followed by Super Mario™ 3D Land in November, Mario Kart™ 7 in December and Kid Icarus™: Uprising during the holiday season.

Figuring things out.

It's definitely been a while since I've done any HTML.

Blogger has a great GUI and is really helping me out. However, connecting to facebook and getting those posts to look exactly how I want them to is becoming a bit of a challenge.

I'm looking to add tabs to the blog with current hot topics in the tech world and have a subscriber button as to make it easy for anyone to follow me.

I'll keep you posted!

Gmail Expands Call Functionality.

Did you ever think you could call someone in France for less than the cost of a traditional letter? That's exactly what Google is touting as they have increased their caller service to include 38 languages and accept 4 different currencies. Check out the video posted for more info...

With the added ability for video chat and long distance phone calls at extremely cheap prices - I believe days are numbered for Skype and other video sharing clients. (Not to mention Facetime chat between Apple devices and video integration in facebook.)

One step closer to communicating better without the need for deoderant.
