Google to acquire Motorola Mobility - $12.5B

In a move that will surely increase production capacity and give Apple a better run for the smartphone market, Google is looking to buy out Motorola
mobility for 40$ / share.


UPDATE. - The news has now been confirmed by both parties as Techcrunch is reporting. Larry Page, CEO of Google, was quoted: [This deal] will supercharge the Android operating system. Techcrunch is currently live blogging the conference call between the board of directors from each firm.

This is Google's largest acquisition to date.
