Jamming signals from cyber attacks on pacemakers.

The perfect crime - many don't believe it possible. Certainly no one willing to live in fear would. Hacking medical devices does, however, make me nervous.

Modern days of technology are upon us. Researchers are already discovering new anti-hack mechanisms to protect electrical personal assistance devices such a pacemakers...from being hacked.

Check out the excerpt from Computer World below:

MIT and University of Massachusetts researchers have developed an anti-hacking jamming device that addresses communication security to protect implantable medical devices. The wearable "shield" device can emit a jamming signal when an active attacker establishes an unauthorized wireless link between a pacemaker and a remote terminal.

When a DDOS attack can drain the power of a pacemaker and basically remotely stop the heart through untraceable devices, it comforts me that the smart people over at MIT are on the case.
