Google+ a target for phishing attacks.

We have already discussed the Google+ policy on nickys.

This ethical tactic to bring honesty to social networking may actually exploit vulnerabilities for many users.

A little bit ironic.

The ideology behind real user names at Google+ was to force users to be accountable for their online actions. To bring out the best in people. However, the implemented rule may actually prove to bring the worst out as phishing schemes can be targeted specifically to user's real names.

Computer World has analyzed the detrimental effects this new policy will have on users when the site is publicly opened. About the identity service Google had this response:

The internet would be better if we knew you were a real person rather than a dog or a fake person. Some people are just evil and we should be able to ID them and rank them downward.
