FeTRAM technology on the way could mean more efficient memory storage modules.

Silicon wires and ferroelectric, (hence Fe), polymer coating advancements could mean a step up from your regular old random access memory in the future.

The iron coated polymer will use less power than commercial memory as well. Physorg is reporting that the research done at Perdue.

The technology combines silicon nanowires with a "ferroelectric" polymer, a material that switches polarity when electric fields are applied, making possible a new type of ferroelectric transistor.

DDR3 - I believe your time is dwindling already. I hope none of you have built computers lately.
